After tense negotiations Kroger and UFCW 876 reach a tentative agreement that will need to be voted by the members.

Harding's #383 Bangor ratify new contract.
On Friday April 16, 2010 Members at Harding's #383 approve a new contract. They will maintain affordable benefits, and increase in employer pension contribution and a wage increase.

Orchard Grove Nursing Home ratifies new contract.
Many improvements were achieved including better scheduling notification; overtime language; overtime, vacation, holiday and sick pay. They also approved wage rate increases and a real grievance and arbitration process.

401(k) information!
Starting October 6, 2009 you will have a new source for your 401(k) savings plan information and assistance. This new service will be called Meijer Retirement Services. Meijer Retirement Services replaces Schwab Retirement Plan Services Company as Meijer's 401(k) Savings Plan administrator.

Retail workers are less likely to have health care coverage than other industries.
