The UFCW 951 discount card is part of a new program
that UFCW 951 and other "sister" Locals are
working on to provide members with discounts on various
goods and services. The goal is to help our members
stretch their dollars with local and national merchants: restaurants, YMCA's, florists,
car washes, and bowling alleys, etc. across the state of
Michigan. The list of discounts is constantly growing,
and we welcome your suggestions.

How do I get a UFCW 951 Discount card? |
|
| With a small contribution
to the UFCW 951 Foundation or Active Ballot Club, you qualify
for a discount card. Once you start contributing, you will
receive a letter letting you know
you qualify. This letter will also instruct
you as to what to do to receive your discount card. Ask your
Steward or Union Representative how to sign up and
start contributing. |

How much do I have to contribute? |
| The suggested contribution amount
is 40 cents per week for the Foundation and 50 cents per week for the
Active Ballot Club. That is only the suggested contribution amount;
you may contribute more or less if you so choose. |
Where does my contribution money go? |
Your tax deductible contributions
to the UFCW 951 Foundation help your community by providing outreach
to individuals and families in need. The
Foundation also grants scholarships for UFCW 951 members and
their dependents, and interacts with
charitable organizations to help our communities. But this is only a small piece of what the Foundation does.

| The UFCW 951 Active Ballot Club
(ABC) helps us support those candidates and legislation, both in
Michigan and Washington D.C. that we believe are supportive of
workers' rights. For more information on what ABC does, contact
your Steward or Union Representative. Contributions to ABC
are not tax deductible. |
