It is not common for a union to have a Foundation, but 951 isn't just any union. The purpose of the UFCW 951 Foundation is to help us fulfill our mission of helping each other and our community.

The Foundation works hand-in-hand with the Community Service Representatives to organize benefits for members in need. It champions causes and works to alleviate problems within the community. Scholarships are awarded to members or their dependents attending college or a trade school.

The Foundation is funded through regular paycheck deductions from contributing members. The individual amounts are small, but when we put them together, they add up to the ability to do a lot of good. Contributing to the Foundation entitles you to receive a UFCW 951 Discount Card.

Discount programs and recreational activities.

Just as our collective association gives us power in the workplace, it gives us power in the marketplace, as well. UFCW 951 uses that power to negotiate discounts for our members. From shopping to dining, travel to flowers, car washes to bowling alleys, the UFCW 951 Discount Card helps members stretch their dollars. To receive a discount card, sign up to contribute to the UFCW 951 Foundation and/or the ABC Club.   Union Plus member services. Union plus offers member discounts on services such as Insurance, Legal help, Money and Financial advice and much more.   We understand that members have many, varied interests outside the workplace. That's why the Community Service Representatives plan social activities having nothing to do with work. So far they've coordinated hockey games, casino trips and holiday craft parties, with more events to come.
