John Cakmakci - Executive Vice President

John Cakmakci began working for Jewel in 1977. In 1981, he was elected to the executive board of UFCW Local 36, which later merged with UFCW 951. After completing graduate school, 951 hired him as a business representative in 1985. As well as acting as Executive Vice President for UFCW 951, Cakmakci also serves as Director of Collective Bargaining and Organizing. In addition, Cakmakci is a Trustee for the UFCW Michigan Health & Welfare Funds.
