Known for her attention to detail, Karin is
widely respected throughout 951 for her thorough
and careful approach to protecting the financial
assets of the membership. Asked what’s
great about 951, she points to “really
good administrative and finance systems,” and
adds, “we are always looking for ways
to make things better.”
Karin continues, "I'm really excited by
the many challenges and opportunities that
UFCW 951 offers. Not only do we have a chance
to make sure 951's members get good, forward-looking
contracts, but we also work to reach out to
the communities we live in and help working
families through the UFCW Local 951 Foundation."
Karin joined UFCW 951 fresh out of Calvin College
in 1993, having earned a degree in Accounting.
Karin continues to deepen her financial education
taking classes at Western Michigan University.
She lives in Grand Rapids with her two daughters.
